Steve Raboin | Crazy Creative Status Update
What a relief. These past two years have been a whirlwind for me. More specifically, the past six months have been nuts, once I decided to forgo preparing my résumé for my next job, and preparing to work for myself and run my design business.
The Crazy Creative Podcast started as my capstone project, but morphed into a life project. I will continue to produce the show as a format to promote myself and other creatives who are making a living following their passion.
I have met so many great people and uncovered so many opportunities in just sixteen episodes in four months. I’m excited to see what will happen in a few years.
Next week I’ll interview Peter Sena from Digital Surgeons and Sonia Plumb from Sonia Plumb Dance Company. I’ll visit Back East Brewing the following week. If any creatives are interested in being a guest on the show, please contact me for scheduling. I can’t wait to hear from you, the show is so much fun.
Juggling a master’s program, full-time work, family, fitness, and freelance has been pretty crazy though. When I started the ICM program my son was barely a year old, a baby. Now, he’s a full-grown boy. The rest of my family has grown as well. Luckily I’m completing this program just in time to give my family my full attention.
I’m taking a break from work this week and going on vacation with my family. I will have difficulty, but I’m going to unplug from my computer, my iPhone, social media, everything. I’m going to disconnect, rest, relax, to reconnect with my family.
I think the rest will be good for me. I need to recharge, to come back strong, to kick some ass, and to produce the best work I can. Here’s to a healthy happy summer and a bright future ahead!
